Like the rest of the country, I was watching the summer of 2020’s Black Lives Matter movement and the protests against police brutality and killings. I was inspired to name this piece “Change” from a line from the Black poet James Baldwin: “ Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
