Much of my work celebrates women. I loved the shape of these ancient statues of women but wanted to make them more of the earth, so I entwined them with ropey vines. It still wasn’t enough, so I included lemons for the yellow, for the surprise and for the tree that grows in our garden and gives us this luscious fruit all year long.
