I have long loved New Mexico and have visited many times. During this time of seclusion, I find myself thinking back to Santa Fe, Taos and adopting the colors of the Southwest, the warm colors of yellow ocher, burnt orange offset by the drama of turquoise. To me, this painting captures the warmth and serenity of the Taos Pueblo and a tribal ceremony we observed several years ago.
